Driving from Malaga Airport

From the airport keep right, passing the San Miguel Brewery. Once you have passed the airport on your right hand side, stay right to take the A7/E15 in the direction of Benalmadena/Algeciras/Cadiz. Near the exit to Mijas and Fuengirola, keep left to follow the motorway (peaje) AP7/E15. You will pass the first tollbooth at Calahonda where you pay a maximum of €5.30. Continue on the motorway, pass Marbella and again keep left when the road splits into A7/N-340 and peaje, following AP7/E15 to Algeciras/Cadiz. Before the next tollbooth take exit 217 signposted to Ronda/San Pedro de Alcantara. Here you pay a maximum of €2,30.

When leaving the motorway you come to the provincial road A-376. Drive down to the first roundabout and go all the way round it in order to take the road in the opposite direction, towards Ronda. Follow this road up the hill, pass La Perla de la Heredia on your right and continue. You will pass the first entrance to El Madronal estate on your right and a restaurant called El Coto on your left, continue past entrances 2, 3, 4 and 5 and turn right into entrance 6 of El Madronal called 'Loma de las Colmenas'. To the left of the entrance gate is a post with a speakerphone on it. Press the button, and when they answer, tell them that you are going to No.85 (Senor Morais). They should then open the gate. Follow the road down and El Cortijo is the fifth house on the left.

Journey time: approximately 45 minutes

Continue on this dual carriageway all the way along La Linea seafront and on through a small town. Near the top of the hill, take the Carretera de Cadiz N-340 in the direction of Estepona/Malaga. When the road splits into the A7 and AP7, keep left and take the motorway (peaje) AP7 towards Malaga.
